Inner Gold Retreat

Early November 2025 brought six fantastic women together on the rugged, beautiful island of Mallorca for an Inner Gold retreat. By Inner Gold, I mean the nuggets of wonderful skills and qualities we all have inside ourselves that enable us to be our best, most shiny, authentic selves; that sometimes need nurturing if they’ve become buried in stress or overwhelm of modern life.

To be honest, it had been a challenging time personally beforehand, and I felt more like I needed to go on a retreat than to be facilitating one! However, I saw that it was a learning opportunity to be part of the process we were facilitating: accepting our perfect imperfection, being where we are, trusting ourselves and opening to the possibility that a great week would unfold.

Everyone who joined had interest not just to discover some of the beautiful nature in Mallorca, but also to explore the ‘inner landscape’ or ourselves. What unfolded over our days together was a gentle yet powerful reminder of how much balance, freedom and possibility we can access when we allow ourselves to arrive fully in the present moment.

Mallorca held us in its raw magnificence. We ambled through forests in the Tramuntana mountains, beside the impressive cliffs and rock formations of the coastline, to the constant pulse of the waves and in the warmth of the Mediterranean sun. Nature whispered at us: slow down, relax, listen, be. The island helped strip away the noise so we could sense balance again: in our muscles, our minds, and the space beneath our thoughts.

Our focus throughout the retreat was simple, yet simplicity is often the key:
💛 Embracing what is with more awareness
💛 Inviting ease into body and mind
💛 Cultivating appreciation
💛 Taking aligned action towards what matters most to each of us

We worked with the nervous system and subconscious mind through various methods: meditation, Brainspotting and Innerdance, all powerful ways to soften resistance, shift brainwave states, and free up from limiting beliefs or experiences. These sessions opened windows of insight, clarity and unexpected moments of letting go. They also reminded us our minds are not something to fight or fix, but a vast terrain to meet with curiosity.

The themes we explored included awareness, allowing, appeciation, alignment and action: all explored out in nature with different techniques applied to each topic.

The greatest magic of any shared experience always comes from the group itself. Whilst the content matters, each person (this year, all women) brought her own unique spark: smiles, vulnerabilities, humour, courage, quirks, quiet moments of insight and plenty of shared compassion. It felt real, raw, joyful, and beautifully transformative.

To everyone who showed up and was part of this, thanks for bringing yourselves, for trusting the process, and for embracing discomfort and laughter in equal measure. Special thanks to co-facilitator Clare Pearson of Endurance Bike & Run who showed up with her wealth of skills and presence.

We’d like to create something like this again, but rather than set dates at this point, we’re open to enquiries from individuals or groups and when we have enough interest, we’ll seek to set a time and place.

As a wheelchair user myself, I always seek accessible venues and I’ve become aware how challenging it is to find retreat space that is accessible for wheelchair users. We endeavour to make these retreats are open to everyone, the vision being to create spaces that enable ease, awareness and freedom to be our uniquely, wonderfully ourselves.

Drop me a message if you’re interested to go on a ‘yes, sounds great!’ list to receive information on future retreats, or to comment on when, where and what would most appeal to you.
