In September 2018, with an incredible team of student engineers from the University of Liverpool Velocipede team, I had the fortune to share a super-cool aero-shell handbike with Ken Talbot. We both broke the existing records to become Guinness Landspeed Record holders for arm-power. Locked tightly in the bike shell with the road ahead projected onto a tiny screen via a periscope camera, it was the loudest, sweatiest most nervy high-speed experience of my life! I made 46.04 mph and Ken 51.86 mph. Here is a Cycling UK article and a collection of team photos from Battle Mountain, Nevada, USA and the fabulous annual event held there.
