Handbike & Triathlon Racing

I love to ride my bike!! It is my passion and my therapy, brings me health and happiness and SO MUCH JOY! My career racing handbikes and a briefer immersion in Paratriathlon has taken me all over the world. I competed for 10 years for the Great Britain Paracycling Team, highlights being a silver medal in the London 2012 Paralympics and a gold medal in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. The most ‘famous’ of my race results though was ‘sharing’ the bronze medal in the London 2012 road race with my team-mate Rachel Morris when we crossed the finish line holding hands. Apparently that is not what we are ‘supposed’ to do at Olympic level so it seemed to wreak havoc. But I like things outside the norm…
