Coaching
- Want some help to achieve something?
- Would you like to change a pattern of thinking?
- Or the way you respond to a particular situation?
- Need help to figure out what you want and how to get there?
Coaching can help you, and if your goals are linked to your health; then I am also a qualified Hypnotherapist, and specialise in Health Coaching.
I offer a free initial phone consultation to find out what you want to work on, and what methods of working are best for you. A block of three coaching sessions is normally recommended to help you achieve results, but not always necessary.
I’m a qualified Coach and Clinical Hypnotherapist, registered with the GHSC and the GHR, and a full member of the Association of Coaching and the British Institute of Hypnotherapy.
I’ve got Diplomas in NLP and Motivation Coaching, Performance Coaching and Coaching & Mentoring, and an MA in Development Training.
What is Coaching and who can benefit?
Coaching is about taking you from where you are to where you want to be; from your current to your aspired behaviour or situation. It can be beneficial in many aspects of life – career, health, relationships, inner state of mind – any situation you would like to positively change.
Coaching is not about telling you what to do, but about asking good questions, and using different tools and techniques to help you find the solutions to your challenges, and make lasting change.
What is Hypnotherapy?
In certain situations, it will be particularly helpful to use hypnotherapy, distinctive in that it accesses your subconscious mind. I would only do this with your permission, and most often you’ll be surprised that you are aware of everything that is being said whilst you are in the relaxed state of hypnosis. However, in this relaxed state, the power of your own imagination is enlisted and significant change can be achieved in only one session.
Some of the problems that can be helped by a good hynptherapist are allergies, anxiety, fears and phobias, unwanted habits, low confidence, pain management and enhancing performance.
What area of coaching do I specialise in?
We’re in this life to find meaning and purpose, to do the best we can, and to make a difference. I work with people who are aligned with this belief, to help you do better at what you want to do – whether you are an executive, a parent, self-employed, a confused individual…we’re all people and I’m here to work with you.
We all have different paths to travel, different interests, skills and strengths. My focus is to help you travel a journey through life in a way that has meaning to you. Maybe you could call it ‘purpose’ coaching, or ‘fulfillment’ coaching, or even ‘life’ coaching (but then what else would coaching be?)...the jargon is irrelevant, but that’s my ethos.
Health Coaching
I have a particular interest in health coaching; that is health in the holistic sense; physical, mental and emotional. I’m qualified to practice hypnotherapy, acupuncture, reflexology and massage; this background helps me work holistically and consider different perspectives, but I have chosen to focus purely on hypnotherapy and coaching.
Britain is the 4th most obese nation in the world, and its on the rise. If you would like to change your habits to become more healthy, then health coaching would be a great approach for you.
There are thousands of coaches to choose from, so why me?
Here are a few reasons:-
- My life experience has given me significant opportunity to learn and develop
- I’m passionate about helping others (and myself) achieve surprising things
- I’m well qualified and draw on a diversity of experience and approaches to coaching
- I adhere to professional standards and am continuously developing my skills
- Coaching is an integral part of shaping my own life, so I know how impactful good coaching is
How does it work and what does it cost?
Whenever possible, I like to meet face to face at least for the first coaching session, or at intervals thereafter, but I can also coach by phone, email or Skype.
When meeting face to face, I can travel to you, or vice versa, but I prefer to meet away from your usual environment, and believe this helps the coaching process. I have a two bases in the UK; Inverness and Sheffield.
Coaching and hypnotherapy both cost £40 per session, and would usually take approximately one hour. The first session may be longer, up to 90 minutes, and costs £50. If significant travel is required, then we can agree any travel / time costs for this separately. I will offer a discount for block booking.
I also offer an “on call” monthly coaching arrangement, that would involve an initial session, with interim email coaching, and weekly tips, reading and helpful information, for £75 per month.
